Boca de Oro
The Boca de Oro - or “mouth of gold” - Festival of Literary, Visual, and Performing Arts curates diverse and evocative storytellers to present their work through readings, workshops, panel discussions, poetry slams, and visual art experiences. As a fringe of Art Walk lead by Downtown Inc., Boca de Oro facilitates community engagement with Santa Ana’s small businesses through the Santa Ana Business Council in partnership with Santa Ana Unified School District, Santa Ana College, and the City of Santa Ana.
The 2021 Boca de Oro Festival of Literary Arts and Culture will be held entirely online due to the coronavirus pandemic. Join us virtually as we celebrate incredible artists. This year, we are joined by American photojournalist Pete Souza and multi-faceted artist and educator Marc Bemuthi Joseph. We are also building 64 small lending libraries for the 64 neighborhoods in Santa Ana so that our community can enjoy literary art while remaining socially distant.
